My bus drives in front of Zuccotti park (and for those who are confused, yes, there is no grass in this park, it's more a square) both on the way to and from work. I usually sit on the left side of the bus, but today I was on the right and I got a pretty good look at the signs, so I thought I'd put up a few. They were scattered at the front of the park, although two were standing next to each other. So here's a few samples:
- Regan sucked balls - Obama betrayed us
- Bankers and CEOs are Fascist pigs - Socialism enriches the few - Show me a capitalist and I'll show you a blood sucker
- Fight for your rights - Stop all wars
- Regulate Wall Street - Take money out of politics.
After that the light went red and we moved. So what did I learn from the signs: They want a controlled anarchy, where politicians that aren't Democrats or Republicans with no established ideology, create rules for the rich and powerful, but are not affected by financial consideration while fighting for equality in a planet where there's world peace.
Right and I have a bridge to sell.
PS: I'm not judging the idea of a protest, but those signs were ALL OVER.

I'm not in an evacuation zone, but we're close enough to the water that we're expecting some time of flooding and power outage.
I never thought I'd get ready for hurricane. Terrorists, chemical attacks, random acts of violence, sure. Earthquakes and hurricane shouldn't happen in NY. So now, we got an away bag, food, water, money, documents, a tub filled with water. I've done everything I can and there's only one thing to do: pray that my electricity doesn't go away so I can have internet.
Yes, I have priorities! But as Lisa kindly pointed out, at least I still have my iPhone (if it works).
